why my coworker is great

so the day that i got back from paris, one of my coworkers popped over to my desk to find out how the trip was. (many people did actually, but i remember this one in particular). i gave her a high level overview of the trip, and as she was leaving she said "i can really see you living there"

then, she came over yesterday totally randomly and told me she thinks i should move to paris with another one of our single coworkers and live there. i like her line of thinking. i then preceded to tell her about an american tour guide i was watching in the musee d'orsay when i was in paris. she was giving a personalized tour to a early elementary aged girl. mom was around, and dad was not interested. they were an american family. the tour guide was about my age, and i was creepely watching her discuss and analyze Monet's various Rouen Cathedrals. It made me think lots of things. 1. What would it be like to do that. 2. Made me realize how much I miss really really talking about art. 3. How much I miss art museums.

Later yesterday afternoon, I ran to city market for a few odds & ends and on my way out i noticed their weekly wine special, it was called "c'est la vie" as usual, was sucked in by the name and label. as i put it on the belt, i noted it's distributed by someplace in Cleveland. ha!

Today, i had an appointment with the career counselor that's been helping us out. i was waiting in her lobby, when out walks the aforementioned coworker, she totally walked by me and didn't see me, but then turned and said "oh my gosh! hi!" and we both laughed, then she said  "i guess i didn't recognized you, i think you looked like a french girl...." love.

remember that time we were camping, and i asked you if you ever could see yourself living overseas longterm? yes? and all that it implied?

i have a passport now, so it would be SUPER AWESOME to have a good excuse to pop over to paris! AND it wouldn't be nearly so scary if i had a friend there to be the guide!!!
