Dragon Boat 2010

2010 marked the third year Dwight participated in the Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival. 2008 we placed 3rd, last year we got first(!), and this year we did well, but other teams just did better. We got first in the bronze cup. Overall we had the second fastest race time at 53 seconds. The festival raises money for Camp Ta Kum Ta, a summer camp for children with cancer. I designed our team's tshirts this year, which was a fun project! After two years of rain, and thunderstorms, we were blessed with a ver nice day for races!

Here are a few pics, and a video. The video was taken via a camera mounted on our drummer's head, what a cool perspective!

i've done it for the past 3 years, let me say it was much more successful than bowman.

there is a town up here in the islands that has a duct tape boat race. for the past two summers i've randomly been on the islands for the race. oh the memories!
