As I was driving home I heard this on Klove, it was in an Interview with Dwight Bain. It’s really good, so you should read it. All.
"The bible teaches us to weep with those that weep, and there were people that died and there were people whose homes were flooded and there were people who really, will lose a lot of stuff. And their things washed away, and we weep with those who weep. But the bible also teaches us to rejoice with those who rejoice. And there were people that were really hunkerd down and who were scared in a storm that was at one time going to be a category 4, 400 mile across storm, that was going to wipe out some of the most populated areas in the US, didn’t. So we rejoice, a lot of people are just having a normal day. There’s a tendency to forget sometimes that if my life is stable, someone else’s life is in crisis. And if we can remember that principle, weep with those who weep, and rejoice with those who rejoice. It will give us compassion for those who are hurting, and it will allow us to share the joy with people who’s lives are stable & whose lives are at peace."
