Beth, Karen & I are in graduate school. It's true! Okay, maybe garden grad school. We meet twice a week, like last year, but we're in a slightly different location, still at Ethan Allen Homestead, and there are fewer people in the class. But, everyone in the class is from last year, so we know them, it's so much fun! The are 6 of us total (yes, for those math wizards, we make up half the class!). We each share a circle plot of land (254 sq ft) with one other person, and there is a community plot we share & tend & the center of the garden is a butterfly garden. It's shaped like a butterfly & is filled with flowers to attract them--oh joy! In the garden this year are carrots, beets, lettuces (bibb, spicy mix, chard), beans, peas, broccoli, onions, scallions, tomatoes, basil, yellow squash & zucchini. In the community plot: tomatillos, sweet potatoes, potatoes, celery, cantaloupe, herbs delacata squash, & peppers & anything else we toss in there!
